There are several ways to buy Scentsy products.  You can buy online, over the phone, or from a local consultant. There are also booths at fairs and craft shows run by Scentsy consultants. When you purchase Scentsy online or over the phone you may pay with a credit or debit card including, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express. If you decided to purchase from a local consultant your may pay with cash, credit card, or personal check made out to your consultant.

Scentsy candle bars typically last between 50 and 80 hours, depending on the strength of the fragrance and how strong you prefer your scents.  Other factors that affect the bar life are open windows, humidifiers, and house fans. To make the scents last longer, put your warmer on a timer so it is on during the day and off at night. This will make your bar last longer! On average in my home, one cube will last about 3-4 days so one bar lasts a month. In rooms that are larger or have vaulted ceilings you may want to use two cubes. A plugin warmer will only hold 2 cubes where a full size warmer can hold an entire bar.

Each Scentsy bar comes in a package with eight break-a-part cubes. One cube is perfect for a normal size room like a bedroom or bathroom. If you have a larger room or a room with vaulted ceilings two cubes will make the scent stronger and last longer.  A tip to make the scent last longer is change the wax even if you are putting in the same scent. It will keep the scent from fading faster.

Scentsy uses a food-grade petroleum-based wax. Petroleum-based wax is use because of its superior scent-loading ability, melting point and firmness. Scentsy designers could not find a good-quality vegetable-based wax that held the scents. The reason Scentsy candle bars are safer than traditional candles is that Scentsy warmers only warm the scent out of the wax. The wax remains in the warmer, so there is no danger of chemicals being released into your home. You will end up with a piece of non-scented wax that you then dispose of and replace with a new Scentsy candle bar. No wick, no match, no flame, no soot, no smoke, and no wax evaporation!

Scentsy’s food-grade petroleum wax is the same wax farmers spray on apples to give them their shine. Petroleum wax burns much slower than other waxes making the scent last longer.

Scentsy uses key fragrance oil, which is the highest grade of oil possible, before processing. Scentsy scents are created with three different levels of fragrances. This way you get a different experience the longer you warm the scent.

Yes.  However, keep in mind that Scentsy's warmers are made specifically for the Scentsy wax and are designed to reach the perfect temperature to release the scent into the air without releasing any chemicals.  This is one of many reasons why Scentsy warmers and Scentsy bars are much safer than regular candles and non-Scentsy warmers or tart warmers.

1. Turn the warmer off for about 10 minutes until the wax is hard. Then you can use a knife and pop the wax out. I like to use a paint can opener. These can be purchased at your local hardware store or anywhere that sells paint. They usually are around $0.50.

2. While the wax is warmed you can easily pour it out into its original container or simply wipe the warmer with a paper towel.

The wax temperature stays just above body temperature.  It does not become hot enough to burn skin or objects.

Scentsy full-sized warmers use a 25-watt bulb, Scentsy Mid-sized warmers use a 20-watt bulb, and Scentsy plug-in warmers use a 15-watt bulb. The bulbs can be purchased online by clicking on the "Buy Scentsy Online" button in the upper left corner of this page.  Bulbs can be found in the "Replacement Parts" category.

The full size warmers use a 25-watt light bulb, the mid-size warmers use a 20-watt light bulb, and the plug-in warmers use a 15-watt light bulb.  Every new warmer comes with its own light bulb and additional lightbulbs can be purchased online or through your local Scentsy Consultant.

Shipping is free for home, basket, and book parties with orders totaling $150 or more.  Shipping for online orders costs 10%.  Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska is 10% for parties and 20% for direct ship orders.

Currently, Scentsy does not ship to APO's or FPO's.

Orders typically take about 2 to 3 weeks to arrive.

No. The party host must use their 1/2 price and free products benefits earned at the time they host the party or they will lose the benefits.  They do not carry over.

Checks should be made out to the Consultant.

It only costs $99 plus shipping and handling to start your own Scentsy business.  You will receive a Scentsy Starter Kit which contains all 80+ scent samples, catalogs, order forms, a warmer, a sample bar, room spray, hanging freshener, business cards, and everything else you need to get started!  This fee also includes your Scentsy-replicated website for the first three months. You will have everything you need to start your amazing business.

Absolutely!  When you join my Scentsy team, you are joining one of the fastest-growing home-based businesses out there.  Scentsy offers one of the best compensation plans in the industry. Scentsy practically sells itself. You can sell Scentsy to anyone with a nose!

Starter Kits are shipped via UPS within 72 hours of application receipt. You typically will receive it about 5 days or sooner after you have filled out your application.

Each quarter, consultants must sell a minimum of $150 in merchandise to remain active.  The quarter is reset each time you place a qualifying order of $150 or more.

No. Consultants are not required to buy new products.  There is an optional kit offered to consultants at a substantial discount that contains the Scent of the Month and the Warmer of the Month but Consultants are not required to purchase it. The Scent of the Month bundle comes with 6 bars, a brick, and all your testers for the scent. Warmer and Scent of the Month bundles just adds the warmer.

Yes. Scentsy Independent Consultants can sell Scentsy products online via their online Scentsy replicated website. You can advertise on Google Adwords. You are not allowed to sell Scentsy on online classifieds or auctions.

Yes. Scentsy Independent Consultants can make their own website. All independent websites must be approved by the home office. For specific details on creating your own website, consult the Policy and Procedures section of your guidebook once you become a consultant. You can also contact me with any questions. I would be happy to help you.

No. In order to maintain the quality and integrity of Scentsy products, Scentsy Consultants are prohibited from selling on eBay or any other auction-type website.

Yes. Scentsy Independent Consultants are allowed to sell Scentsy products at local events and expos. You can either purchase inventory to re-sell at the events or take orders only.  Scentsy policy stipulates that only one consultant may attend each event and the first to register and pay for the event fills the spot. If there is already a consultant doing the event that you would like to do, ask to be put on their waiting list for future events.

Yes. Consultants can purchase product at a discount through the Hostess Rewards Program. If a consultant hosts his/her own party he/she would receive all half off items and hostess credit.

To earn commissions from your team you must be a Lead Consultant and must personally sell a minimum of $500 per month to qualify.  A Lead Consultant is a person who has at least $500 in monthly personal retail sales, $1000 in group wholesale volume in a month, and one active frontline Scentsy Consultant. The more consultants your have on your team and the higher in rank you are you will receive more commission. Please see our compensation chart for further details.

Scentsy consultants are issued a pay card when they sign up. These pay cards are loaded on the 10th of each month. If the 10th falls on a weekend or holiday, the card will be loaded on the next business day.
